The
Building Division is set up with Design Section, Architect
Section, Estimate Section (Civil and Electrical), Maintenance
Section and Construction Section.
The
main function of Division is to provide technical backstopping
to the Dzongkhag Administration and City Corporations.
Besides,
the Division also provides consultancy services to other
government agencies in planning and design of buildings
and also supervision of building construction as a deposit
works.
With
the creation of National Housing Development Corporation
(NHDC), the construction and maintenance activities
will be transferred to NHDC.
The
Building Division will continue to provide technical
backstopping services to the Dzongkhag Administrations,
City Corporations and other government agencies.
