A new bridge over the Puna Tsangchhu measuring 120m  length has been completed just recently. This bridge is funded by Helvetas under the following concepts.

* Bridge has to be of a high technical standards ("modern design").

* Should be accepted as a model for other bridges in Bhutan

* Design should be adaptable to other locations in Bhutan.

* It should be built with Bhutanese resources.
