| The Paro Valley
is one of the most beautiful and widest valleys in Bhutan. Starting at an arid gorge in Chhuzom, which is the confluence of Pa Chhu and Thim Chhu, the valley opens up gradually, reaching its widest point near the airport. Then it divides into two side-valleys: The Dopshari valley running northwards for about 20km, and the main valley with a paved road continuing northwest towards Drukgyal Dzong.The Paro vally is located to the east of Haa and west of Thimphu. Tshongdue town in Paro Valley is the Headquarter town of the Dzongkhag. Paro has warm summers and cold winters. It is borered by Tibet, region of China in North-West and Chukha Dzongkhag in South. |
