Vacancy Announcement
The Department of
Urban Development and Engineering Services (DUDES) under
the Ministry of Works and Human Settlements is implementing
a five year Urban Development Programme "Environment
& Urban Sector Programme Support" in five district
towns with Grant Assistance from Danida.
Activities in the
five towns are mainly infrastructure development in
a) water supply b) sewerage and sanitation c) solid
wastes management d) Drains, e) Internal Roads, f) Footpaths,
g) Streetlights etc. and capacity development.
The Department of
Urban Development & Engineering Services invites
applications from interested Bhutanese nationals for
the following vacant posts on contract:
Position Qualification/experience

AE (civil) B.E in civil 1 7 Samtse (Municipality)
JE (civil) Diploma in civil 4 10 Gelephu, Samtse, Damphu
(Municipalities)
Plumber RTI or equivalent in plumbing 1 14 Gyelposhing
(Municipality)
Candidates with work
experience in the relevant field will be given preference
Those selected will
have the opportunity to work with international experts
and regional municipal experts and acquire experience
on diverse municipal engineering works.
Selected candidates
will be recruited as contract employees by RGOB. Remuneration
and other benefits will be as per BCSR.

to the Director, DUDES, Thimphu. The closing date for
the submission of application is on 10 June 2005. Short
listed candidates will be called for selection interview
on 30th June 2005 at the MoWHS Conference Hall from
