PUBLIC NOTIFICATION

As per the directives of the 83 rd National Assembly, the Ministry of Works and Human Settlement had constituted a committee from the Department of Urban Development and Engineering Services (DUDES), Thimphu City Corporation (TCC), National Housing Development Corporation (NHDC), Department of Survey & Land Records (DSLR) and the Public Representative from Thimphu town - to study the possibility of land consolidation or purchase of government land in case of urban holding which do not meet the minimum plot size. The committee is finalizing the report for submission to the Ministry as it is required to be reported back to the National Assembly.

Therefore, the committee is to notify all the concerned land owners falling under urban areas to submit their cases related to excess/deficit plots to the concerned municipality latest by 28 th February 2007.

The Ministry of Works and Human Settlement or the Committee will not entertain the cases directly. The concerned municipality shall study and forward the cases to the committee for further review and submission to the Government.
